Holton has been arrested nine times in Florida on charges including burglary, robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.

I would think he would've been in Prison for a very long time. Especially
as a violent repeat criminal. Is there affirmative action sentencing now?

I'm seeing this more often these days. Criminals with a long history are on
the streets and the message is "Do the Crime, Not the Time" from our Courts.

Most cops will tell you this. They see the same perpetrators over and over again. They collar them one night and the next day they see them out on the streets again, looking to cause more trouble.

Most citizens, even in the urban ghettos, are good people. Law abiding citizens. However, our liberal policies towards criminals allow the same small percentage of scum to commit felony after felony. Until eventually they do something bad enough to land them behind bars for a significant stretch. Unfortunately, it usually requires somebody being raped or murdered before that actually happens.

If we put these people away the first time, our criminal justice system wouldn't be so overloaded with cases, resulting in plea bargains that let career criminals off with a slap on the wrist.

Seems to be the *way*; plea bargaining away a felony; **scheduled to plead to another misdemeanor**, I see this in the police logs of the local rag.
