Internet Revolts Against Local Car Dealership that Harassed Pizza Delivery Guy Over Tip
F&R Auto Sales in Westport, Mass. was flooded with negative reviews after a video showed workers berating the man over a $7 tip.
A local car dealership incurred the ire of the Internet after a video showed workers berating a pizza delivery driver over a $7 tip.
Workers at F&R Auto Sales can be seen in a video hassling the Pizza Palace driver after he dropped off their food order—only to drive back a second time when they called back and demanded he return with their change. The driver said he was told he could keep the change to begin with, but the workers disagreed in a decidedly unpleasant way.
Update: Fundraiser Nets $20K for Scorned Pizza Delivery Guy “It just doesn’t make sense why you’d hand me a bill that you were just gonna have me drive back here to give you back anyway,” said the driver, adding the whole situation was a “waste.”

We just got a very similar system at work a few months ago. It's an impressive setup for such a low cost (five wireless color cameras with audio, mounting hardware, and the necessary software for just over $300), and I wouldn't know how to upload video from it to the internet either.
I really love this story as a vindication of Adam Smith. The free market will take care of these jerks quite well: No need for gubmint intervention.
I think it's more fun to just pull out your wad of bills and cavalierly round up to the next dollar. Your enjoyment may be spoiled in situations where the customer is too math challenged to understand what you did.
I am so proud. In national surveys Massachusetts has always ranked below New York and New Jersey in competition for the rudest state. This will put us back in the game.
I have never tipped a pizza delivery man less than a deuce, and my orders are almost always small. I think I have had pizza delivered about four times in my 64+ years. I would hate to work with a bunch of jerks like them.

Why give him $50.00 in small bills that included a $5.00 when they are expecting $7.00 back.

Unless management tried to bury this or defame the driver, and they dealt with the jerk employees when they learned about what happened, then I don’t see what else they could do.
You can’t deal with something like this before it happens.
