Internet Revolts Against Local Car Dealership that Harassed Pizza Delivery Guy Over Tip
F&R Auto Sales in Westport, Mass. was flooded with negative reviews after a video showed workers berating the man over a $7 tip.
A local car dealership incurred the ire of the Internet after a video showed workers berating a pizza delivery driver over a $7 tip.
Workers at F&R Auto Sales can be seen in a video hassling the Pizza Palace driver after he dropped off their food orderonly to drive back a second time when they called back and demanded he return with their change. The driver said he was told he could keep the change to begin with, but the workers disagreed in a decidedly unpleasant way.
Update: Fundraiser Nets $20K for Scorned Pizza Delivery Guy It just doesnt make sense why youd hand me a bill that you were just gonna have me drive back here to give you back anyway, said the driver, adding the whole situation was a waste.

Oh I didn’t realize, this is in Assachussets, the lovely sewer of liberalism of the East coast that gave us such splendid contributions to society like Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bawney Frank, Bill Duh-Blasio and a zillion other leftists. Reminds me when I use to drive a Yellow taxi in New York city, the lefties would always tip the least “We must share the wealth...Reagan was an a-hole..now here is your nickel tip”. They literally use to do that, the would berate me about politics and the benefits of socialism and the fare would be $4.95 and they would give me a $5 and say “Keep the change”.
I hope these guys start to like spit and pubic hairs in their pizzas for now on because that’s what they are going to get when they order. And what a way to build a relationship in the community. They have a rep now for screwing a little guy.
The woman in the vid has been fired.
The man in lower left hand corner is said to be their interet tech guy...they said they won’t use him in the future
>>Ramos admitted his reaction Get the f-—ing owner and the manager on the phone, I want that mother-f-—ers job. I want him fired, he is heard saying in the video was a little drastic. Still, he said both sides were to blame.
He argued that video of what happened in their first interaction would vindicate him. However, he admitted to the radio hosts that nobody remaining at F&R Auto Sales has the know-how to access the security tape and upload the video.
Gary Batista, a sales manager at the dealership who was not in the video, told the station that Lucy, the woman in the green hat who threatened to put my foot in your ass, had been terminated from the company. Ramos said he had been suspended for his actions as well.
Both Batista and Ramos said that the video was put online by the man wearing the blue shirt in the bottom-left corner of the video. He is described as a contractor who handled the dealerships computer services. Batista said he would not be working at the company anymore.
Cheapskates.
$42.. imagine there were six employees and they all got pizzas that added up to just over $7 with tax. Each would throw in a buck tip, to bring it up to about $49, make it close to $50
1 divided by 7 is about .143... so it amounts to about a 14 per cent tip.
They wanted to give a 0 per cent tip and have him drive back to give them the change from the $50
Or to think of it another way:
10 per cent of 42 bucks is $4.20
5 per cent of 42 bucks is $2.10
Total is $6.30, so a $7 tip is just over 15 per cent,
but not much. A 20 per cent tip would be about $8.40,
which is $1.40 per person if there were 6 of them.
(we’re talking small pizzas for $7 each, admittedly a very low price, but...)
Sounds like BS CYA.
So if nobody there knows how to “upload the security video” how did the video that got released get on the internet?
They are claiming that the guy who put the first video up was an outside tech contractor whom they have now fired. The guy in the lower left of the video.
An aside....any dealership that doesn’t have anybody there who can’t pull a stored video off a computer and upload to a computer, I don’t want them working on my car, period. My car gets its operating system downloaded to it via a USB stick. :0)
It is. I saw this on Imgur and was aghast at the behavior of these morons. Yelp has turned their dealership into a clown show, and from one of the interviews I heard that the Internet shaming has negatively affected their sales. Too bad, so sad.
Oh, and who was the genius who thought it would be funny to post the video to YouTube? THAT'S the real stupidity right there, and every interview I've heard or read has failed to mention to authorized that.
In order to believe their story you have to believe that the delivery guy, for some reason, acted like a jerk and walked out with $7 dollars in change that they expected back then drove back with the change and acted humbly (if a little disgruntled). But apparently they didn't demand the change when he was there the first time and he thought it was a tip when he left with it.
So what would he have been acting like a jerk about if he thought they gave him a $7 dollar tip and they didn't ask for change at that time?
On top of that the manager gives out the first name of the girl he fired. That's class.
I saw the previous thread about this and the Yelp comments. Funny stuff.
I want to find out if these slimebags who did this are Democrats, I really do because I use to go through the same crap everyday when I lived in New York city when I use to deliver food, drive a cab. The liberals were just like that, the most arrogant cheapest mofos you could imagine. That one girl looks just like the kind of person I would see in a Occupy Wall street protest with the Mao outfit. “Greedy Capitalist pigs” but when it comes to THEIR money, then they are the cheapest mofos going.
These people are complete asshats over $7.00 tip...
They deserve everything they are getting...
It was well know to us drivers that a certain racial demographic is known for being cheapstakes when tipping...
More than once I had to dig out exact change...
I drove a yellow cab in NYC too.
Kept an 18” wrench on the front seat to chase down douchebags that insisted on a ride to Grand Central after I had been waiting in a hotel line for 2 hours to go to the airport.
Drove off and on for about 2 years, the last month I knew I was hanging it up I didn’t bother to display my back license because I was not going to put up with any nonsense.
If someone asked where it was I told them “Dont worry about it”
I got a chuckle over the uneasy look on their faces
