It’s not in the nature of a cat to find something warm to snuggle up to?

Right; many (most ?) animals do this, as do many people, when they’re cold. Reptiles, flies, squirrels, bears, etc. Of course, kitty was nice and did not try to eat baby when kitty woke up !

I have 8 cats here, one of them a "guest cat" who started showing up to eat after its humans moved away from next door.

I often have 2 or 3 cats in bed with me. Have even found the guest cat snuggling up with me in the morning.

Are they just using me for my body heat? Maybe... but IMO they're welcome to as much of my body heat as they want!

Good for the hero cat in this article!
