Je les aime ronde et juteuse!
Walker Percy was tremendous. “The Thanatos Syndrome” wasn’t my favorite (I preferred “The Moviegoer” and “The Last Gentleman”), but it was a fine novel. I never met Walker, but I was able to discuss his work with his lifelong friend and fellow writer, Shelby Foote, which was a real treat. I really wanted to ask Shelby about his own agnosticism in light of Walker’s Catholicism, but I didn’t have the courage. I wimped out and changed the subject to Proust.
I had to look! 8^)
LMAO! (pun intended)

You Can’t make This Stuff Up.
It's all degrading. It does not contribute to human dignity or (ha) mutual respect between the sexes, to say nothing of love (ha, ha). Frankly, it's not even user-friendly.
Hot-blooded sexdiddle that's cold to its empty core.
In human ecology terms, not sustainable. As FlickLives said (citing Robert Heinlein), people eventually get so unbalanced and so sick of being out-of-control, that they beg for a dictatorship to control them.
In our case --- and this is distressing to say --- it will probably come in chanting "Inshallah".
I’m a big Walker Percy fan. Can’t say I always understand him, but, as with Flannery O’Connor, I feel my way through. He had a robust and admirable Contemptus Mundi.
LOL!
When they didn't quash the minuet, it was all over.
Interesting you mention that scenario. You might be interested in a very good, if chilling, fictional novel called "Prayers for the Assassin".
I’m for line dancing. And square dancing. One bows to one’s partner, and thus absorbs the rudiments of liturgical gesture.
Exercise, too.
It’s hard to get shot for resisting arrest while twerking upside down?
