I started watching in Sept 66. And Abrams movies I consider some of the best. Superior in every way to the Next Generation series with its rabid political correctness . The only movies that were as good were Wrath of Kahn, Undiscovered Country and ST 4(love it too but it is just so 'Greenpeace' ). The best of TNG movies was First Contact
Yes I could find flaws with Abrams movies. As I could with any of the others. Re-booting in the manner that he did made the loss of a character possible (ie: Pike) and unlike normal prequels, you don't know who will make it out alive.
