“I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing.”
I didn’t get that impression while I was stationed in Germany during the 70s. White folks all around, and it was pretty stinky in tight quarters, like public transportation and restaurants. And the people of all colors that I know in the US for the most part shower daily.
Since we’re going on “feelings” here; I feel like showering every day is such an American thing.
I agree with you to an extent; however, there is this.
Once in a while, when he was single, my husband and his brother-in-law would attend cookouts given by black employees of the family business...big rural affairs, lots of good country people, cold beer, etc.
In the course of conversation, husband and BIL were told quite frankly that black men like white women because they're "more fresh."
