Hook it to the toilets in Congress and run the other end to the drinking fountains.

As much damage as Bill Gates has done via his foundation, this is an example where a broken clock is right twice a day.
It is an absolutely appalling statement on the quality of leftist priorities that First World liberals are hand-wringing over a possible rise of 1.5 kelvins over a century, but are entirely comfortable with the fact that 1/3 of the people on the planet do not have reliable access to potable water.

Guess not.

I’ve always thought Bill Gates was young-looking. He now looks every day of his 59 years. He’s ready for his AARP card.

Milwaukee has been doing this since the 50's. Instead of burning the sludge however, they run it over a shaker bed as it's dewetted by vacum and then kiln dried. It is then standardized with enzymes and ph balanced for use as the best lawn fertilizer ever made. We would all know it as "Milorganite". People pay $25 per bag for it.
The water is cleaned and returned into Lake Michigan.
Nothing new here. By selling the end product, the energy input to run the system (natural gas) is covered. This supposedly new system neglects to tell us that it's still fired by natural gas.

It’s not making water. It’s not turning poop into clean water. It’s extracting the water from sewage. It’s just a filter. What a scam.

Machines like this get rediscovered every few years. Sometimes the focus is on the electricity-producing side with potable water as a by-product. This year, it looks like the focus is on the water side.
There used to be a company called Elimanure that built such machines for farms around here, but I think they got bought out by somebody.

It’s a nice invention, but it had better be completely maintenance free. Otherwise, you will set it up in some 3rd world hell-hole, and it will work for a while, until it breaks and nobody there has a clue how to fix it.
