if youre printing a large image megapixels count a great deal
hassleblad at 50MP
my canons 21 megapixels provides a lot of headroom but I could have a great deal of fun with the panasonic phone camera Im sure.
That is why I suspect that Nikon’s next pro model will have more pixels but pixels alone do not tell the whole story.
A few months ago, Pop Photo had a short about Pentax’s new medium format camera. I don’t remember the number of pixels but I think it was around 50MP. They took a photo of the Brooklyn Bridge then a tiny portion enlarged and the quality was astounding.
Must have been a pretty decent lens too. It looked almost just like my old Pentax 645. I think it takes the same lenses too.
