A San Antonio, Texas couple had build a 'tiny house' to commit themselves to 'green living' but the entire home ended up being stolen.
Casey Friday says, "It was depressing, devastating, made me angry and shocked all at the same time."

No kidding
Perp thought he was just stealing a $600 tool shed, not a $35K doll house.
Tiny houses are a booming market.
People don’t want to be shackled down by a big house and a hefty mortgage.
If designed right, a 700 ft home can be more livable than a home twice the size.
Besides the cost and practicality there is also the cuteness factor.
No wonder they’re becoming a magnet for thieves.
I used to live in San Antonio, when it was in Bexar County.
228 sq ft - and very cute! Its now been recovered.
I’d love to get one, and set it up as sort of a man cave.
If you buy one on wheels - its like getting an RV and you can live wherever you want.
Went to the link and as the comments read, what did this/these morons spend 35 G’s on?
Its a pice of crap.
I once was looking in West Melbourne Fl for a place to build and the locals told me be sure to put up a chain link fence and get a Rottweiller cause when your gone to work one day “They will steal your radio and leave the music playen”.
I bought near the ocean.
Boy, I WOULD invest in a tornado shelter if I had one of those things, though.
Yep...until your inlaws come over to stay for Thanksgiving weekend!
You can have it custom made and if one configuration doesn’t quite suit you, you can work with a builder to create a layout that works for you and your lifestyle.
Of course, you have to figure out how to get along with less in a tiny home.
I've built from the ground up an 1100sqft cabin w/ a 300sqft porch furnished it, plumbed it to collect rainwater (w shower, sinks, etc) and have a solar system set up to run all of our lights and a fridge and have only rung up about 21K. And that was WITH paying a roofer to install my metal roof.
moron, indeed.
If you put your house mounted on a trailer, and don’t even take off the wheels or use a hitch lock....
They paid 35 large for that? We used to build tree forts that looked better.
Why “Moron”?
Nothing wrong with simple, affordable, conservation minded living. All are conservative values.
“Yep...until your inlaws come over to stay for Thanksgiving weekend!”
Sounds like a selling point...
“We’d LOVE to have you stay with us, but there’s just no room...”
Heh
I know. My current apt is 600 sq ft - a kitchen and a combined living space/bedroom with an adjacent bathroom with a shower stall.
It feels bigger than should be thanks in part to a huge sloping ceiling so it doesn’t look cramped.
A half galley kitchen is a smart design, too.
Nah, it's more suited for ice fishing......
Securing your property is a conservative value.
