Brother Noah of the Monastery of Christ in the Desert in New Mexico says he failed to stay peaceful while dealing with United Airlines on the phone, the New York Times reported.
I said to her something like: Thank you for speaking. God bless you. I will pray for you. But you have not been helpful, he told the broadsheet.
When David Segal, author of "The Haggler" column, suggested this did not sound like much of an outburst, Brother Noah said he knows the tone of his voice manifested anger.

I hear you. We were so surprised. My husband and daughter both fly a ton. So it’s not like we aren’t used to little problems as they arise. However, in this instance, United didn’t even make an effort whatsoever to remedy a situation which was their fault. It is as though they have completely stopped even trying. They are quite willing to put forth this new image of complete indifference. It’s very sad.
First, let’s check the race of the UA rep. Next, if of a “special” group, let’s prepare the arrest warrant. And, then, the tar, feathers, noose, and coffin. Nobody is above the law.

No joke. My wife wanted to fly to Kansas to visit her sister. I insisted on making the 14-hour drive instead. I still think I made the right call.
