I doubt many Pirates fans agreed with Van Slyke or his sense of entitlement. The goal of the Pirates should have been to provide those fans with winning baseball, not to give Andy Van Slyke the perfect working environment by getting rid of their best player. Same deal with Harbaugh and the fools who currently mis-manage the 49ers.

And you just have to look at the Pirates record since then to see how pathetically stupid THAT thinking is. It’s a business, the goal is to win.
