We want to get rid of DirectTV, go with cable for internet, yet at same time, be able to watch FOX, etc., movies. How do we do it?
OK then. You won’t have to worry about an early termination fee from DirecTV and most, or all, Charter cable offices in Oregon give you FNC and Fox Business.
Just call them and order what you want, then call and write to DirecTC to cancel their service a day or three after the Charter service is scheduled to be installed.
As soon as my Direct TV contract is up I will give it up and continue to view Netflix and Hulu Plus, which I am enjoying currently. I get my news here on FR so have no concern about Fox or any other news network. I may add Amazon Prime as well.
I watch on a large screen TV or my computer. I get my church channels as podcasts. Dish and Direct TV give you way too little in the way of interesting content and way too many shopping channels and constant infomercials. All for way too much money.
With Netflix, Hulu, etc. I can watch what I want when I want without having to mess with recorders and such.
Yeah, after seeing that $90 bill come from Direct TV every month and realizing I could get the stuff I actually want to watch on Hulu for $8 per month, I’ve finally decided to save the money.
There are just too many channels of junk to be worth it. I can’t see the cable or satellite business models surviving all that much longer once good broadband is available to all. Quite a lot of my friends have already cut the TV cord.
No LOL.
There is always promotions.
