Read the article, it might have had something to do with lead time. Still, you’d think the publishers would have some sort of contingency plan, an old strip to paste in when the one in the pipeline needed to be pulled. I suppose the dead tree distribution chain has a long lead time.

IIRC, Trudeau doesn’t actually do the strip any more. He has underlings for that now...................

I think it's proof=positive that no one reads Doonesbury. Or cares.

They publish it because they always have.
