Then I finally saw the Vikings emblem mid-field and realized they weren't playing in Chicago. (I was only peripherally paying attention to the game, mostly listening to it on the radio while I did some plumbing work in my kitchen.)
When did the Vikings start playing outside at home???? It was very confusing not seeing them play inside....
The only time I can recall the “Vikings” “Played” outside was when the “Blow-Up-Doll””Dome” DEFLATED and BROKE because of heavy. wet snow. They “played” at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCF_Bank_Stadium(U or Minnesota’s Field).
2014 changes[edit]
Beginning in 2014, the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings will use TCF Bank Stadium as their home venue for two seasons while their new stadium, Vikings Stadium, is under construction. To help accommodate the Vikings, TCF Bank Stadium underwent several changes, including a new playing surface with heating coils, increased storage space throughout the stadium, and concession upgrades.[37] In addition, temporary bleachers have been installed that have increased the stadium’s capacity to 52,525.[1] These accommodations were expected to cost about $7 million - an amount that will be attributed to the overall construction cost of Vikings Stadium.[38]
