The only black pastor I know in our town is this way. Good guy too. I’m sure there are many hundreds, but we see in the media only the inner city guys who manage to get facetime as eargerly as John McCain, and they’re all lefties, just like McCain.
The same problem exists with white pastors being lefties, many of them closet lefties who oppose bringing up politics in the pulpit. This I know first hand.

I’m glad about the black pastor in your town. There is a grey area as to how should a religious leader show leadership to non-congregants in the community, without politicizing. Setting a good example is a good start... perhaps doing the opposite of J. Jackson & A. Sharpton.
