In the times we live in, the government will and can frame a person. Was the man convicted? Everyone of us COULD have a charge such as this brought against us. They can and have done this by introducing posts or pictures on our home computer, laptop or cell phone. Sheryll Atkinson is witness and testament to the literal reach of the govt.

I wasn’t aware of that. Sounds like the guy is a loose cannon but even loose cannons have rights under the Constitution. They are more limited for those who serve in the military. But the point isn’t that this guy is a role model, the point is that if the government can do it to him and get away with it, they can do it to us as well. We need to take a stand where we can against such government overreach. It will become more common if they get away with it.

I used to believe this stuff.

The Soviets used to charge anyone they didn’t like with sex crimes which made them untouchable. No one would come to their aid.

These days when I hear that a government critic is suddenly charged with sex crime, I don’t believe it. Easiest to manufacture evidence.

Anyone can be charged with anything. Koresh was called a child molester, and a drug manufacturer among other things as the government tried to spin it to make their raid look legitimate.
