Many small restaurants have one unisex bathroom with a lock, and many larger restaurants have male, female, and unisex bathrooms. I can’t recall ever having been humiliated by having to use a unisex bathroom. Quite the contrary, I actually felt ... relieved.
That “boy” squats to pee. I’d think he’d take more crap in the boys’ locker room than in the girls’.

For starters, quit mis-using the word “gender”.
One can certainly be a feminine-gendered male, or a masculine-gendered female...but ones sex is nearly always male or female, and generally doesn’t change of its own accord.

OK well back in 1972 that referred to people who were biological identified as one gender or another...
as in if it had the sex organs of a female it was female...
if it had the sex organs of a male it was male...
so the males go to the males/boys bathroom/restroom/toilet
if its built as a female it goes to the little girls bathroom/restroom/toilet...
is the problem this “him” is biologically a “her” ???

For some reason, I think this kid’s going to have a very, very hard life.
I think the school’s decision was a fair one. Unfortunately, the kid and his parents do not think so. So off to court we go for our liberal judges to find discrimination and maybe a little cash for the plaintiff and his/her lawyer(s).
