thanks, i know you are glad that the semester is over as well!
i feel like making some more christmas cookies, i just did a few for our party but want to make some more and diff kinds to have for Christmas giving. what kinds do you guys like?
I stopped at the grocery store and ranch store on the way home yesterday to get food and pet treats for the week-at the grocery store, the obviously new clerk at the checkout couldn’t find the barcode on an item, left her register to go get one, and stayed gone.
The manager came over, finished checking out my stuff, apologizing to me for the delay, got flustered, spilled the 6 grapefruits I’d bought from the bag, picked them up and resumed checking my items out. When he rang up the total-which was obviously incorrect-he kept his cool and said, I apologize ma’m-I’ll remove the 6000 grapefruits from your ticket. I said please do-my truck is not that big...
hahaha!
Oh, yum-I like ginger snaps-and now that you have called them to mind, and the neighbor with the yappy Yorkie likes cookies, I’ll stop on the way from work tomorrow and get the stuff to make some...
A boiled egg and some tofu on alfalfa sprouts seasoned with Mrs. Dash for lunch here.
my family loves gingersnaps, as does a woman i work with, so i made a few batches of those recently and they are in the freezer.
I have a chocolate waffle cookie I am fond of. It has a touch of almond in it.
pizzele? have those frozen leftover from the wedding, what else you got?
Looks like you’ve got the cookies well covered-how about some divinity-with nuts, no cherries?
It’s not a pizzele. Rises to about a half inch thick. Then you frost them.
can you post the recipe?
i don’t have the cookies well covered! recall i made 30 kinds for the wedding. i am looking for new things to make!
No, not tomato sauce. Just in its own juices. I don’t know the exact spices. It is quite unique which is what you would expect from a secret family recipe. They’ll ship you some!
You have made about 25-20 more kinds of cookies than I have-I don’t make anything I don’t like myself unless a friend or family member begs for something. I’m fond of the things my mom, grandmother and aunts made in the country when I was growing up-gingerpigs, gingersnaps, pumpkin empanadas, made with what was available and traditional-I like spices instead of a lot of sweet-but I don’t like canela/cinnamon much-it is like cilantro is to you.
I am horrible about not looking at the total at the store - after swiping my debit card and entering the code, I am usually putting the card back in my wallet and just get handed the receipt and leave. I might get charged for 6000 grapefruits one day too! lol
My favorite thing right now is biscoff spread - have you had that? Looks just like peanut butter but is made with crushed biscoff cookies - really good, not too sweet but different from peanut butter.
Yes, so glad.
