I've seen a lot of cops around here (Ithaca NY area) racing around like teenagers for no damn reason -- they aren't on an emergency (no lights, no siren), and yet they think they can ignore the rules because they're cops.

Sure, I'd like for them to be able to go home safe to their families at the end of the day, just like anybody else. But when they are blatantly breaking their own laws and endangering others who would also like to go home safe, there's just no excuse.

And, from what I’ve seen, the ithaca cops are actually some of the better ones.
