A thorough explanation of the origins of the rain storms hitting California. There is no tropical moisture involved. Systems coming in to west coast are all well north of Hawaii, which is dry. So the rain is a product of cold air off the Asian continent colliding with warm water off the west coast. Otherwise, Joe argues for a very snowy Christmas.

Joe Bastardi ping.
If you would like on or off, let me know.
BUMP! Going to see, ‘Cotton Patch Gospel’ (my Mom is Producer, my Uncle is Directing), so Joe will have to wait for Sunday Morning Coffee. Music by Harry Chapin. (RIP) It’s a great play!

As for a snowy winter: after I sell the last Christmas Tree on 12/24/14, it can snow ALL it wants, as that’s when Beau makes his bonus cash, plowing snow all winter. :)
Thanks. BTTT.
We must be overloading Joe’s server. Last few weeks running his report is filled with “loading” stops making it impossible to play with any continuity.
Thanks for posting. I love the way he takes on the globull warming crowd and the know nothing bloggers who hype every disturbance.
Yep - he’s sticking to his forecast that in a week or so, we’re going to get cold that will stay in place for pretty much the next couple of months. Snow along with that, starting even before Christmas.
For those who have travel plans over Christmas, plan on being flexible because you may have to leave a day earlier or later.
Many thanks for tour weekly Bastardi pings.
Hawaii does look dry, but I wish he would explain that string of clouds shooting from just north of Hawaii to California (sorta looks like some kind of “Pineapple Express”).
I can’t get the audio to play. That doesn’t seem to happen on other internet vids. Any ideas?
Please add me to the ping list and thanks for posting this on Saturdays.
Try weather underground dot com. You need to pan out to see where the clouds are coming from.
You are added.
Hmm - it actually looks like it is pushing from north of HI towards the west coast of the U.S.
Has to be something out of whack with WeatherBell server.
Prolly the damn Globull Warmers hacking him!
Really look forward to Joe’s reports.I’m going to message them regarding these issues.
Guess I woke the WeatherBell IT guy. After dropping them a note about the slooooow site, suddenly this evening its working so nice.
Great work, thanks!
“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”
As long as oil prices stay low, that is.
Other than that, Mrs. Beau, how was the play?
LOL! No one was shot, so that was a plus. Meh. Not my favorite play,
