Studies have shown that over time, immigrants arent lowering wages, Obama said. But in fact, improving the economy and over time boosting wages and jobs for everyone.
Thats interesting. Especially when you consider that Obama had very different views on this exact same subject just eight years ago.
A passage from Obamas 2006 autobiography, The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream, he makes a very strong case for why illegal immigration suppresses wages.

his ideas have devolved.....
It doesn’t matter any more if he lies. Only when someone who opposes the pro-abortion, pro-gay and pro-anythingelseevil crowd gets something wrong is it newsworthy.
I tried to read it, but it was such mindless, nauseating drivel that I gave up after 3 pages.
This guy believes what he says when he says it, but tomorrow he won’t remember and won’t care either.
sociopath/psychopath these conditions simply are not sufficient to explain the jerk in the WH right now.
How in the heck can an overwhelming horde of those willing to work for minimum ( or less, under the table ) wage raise wages? Logic missing.
Unrestricted importation of foreign nationals creates surplus labor, such as we had during the Great Depression.
I don’t know who I despise more: Obama or the venal monsters at the DNC who inflicted him on our nation.
NO oppressive taxes!
NO expensive KINGS!
NO Compulsary military service!
NO Knouts(whips) or Dungeons!
Just what AMERICA was that!
the physical numbers of people let in were far, far less than today.
you had to have money to live. you had to have jobs lined up and somewhere to stay. lots of times people were set up to stay with family or family friends. if you had serious diseases you were not let in.

The requirements were better then as you say, but the relative physical numbers were much more.
From 1900 to 1910 the US population grew from 76 million to 92 million. Immigration in that decade was about 9 million.
From 2000 to 2010 the US population grew from 281 million to 209 million. Immigration in that decade was about 13 million.
The relative immigration was much higher at the turn of the previous century.
let’s not forget we didn’t hav a president and a political party advocating breaking our immigration laws and not enforcing them, back then.
plus, you re not counting illegal immigrants coming here. they weren’t coming in by the millions illegally back then.
this jive ass fag is so full of SHIT.
It would have to be around 33 million NEW immigrants in the 2000-2010 decade to equal what happened in the 1900 decade.
None of the illegal counts come close to that number.
It simply was a greater relative influx in 1900 than now...:^)
