My age virtually to the day.
RIP
RIP.
As always, if you'd like ON or OFF my wrasslin' ping list, let me know
A lot of wrestlers seem to die in their 30s, 40s, or early 50s from a “heart attack.”
Steroids wreak havoc on humans.
Very true. about a year ago, I saw Lex Luger on an episode of "Hardcore Pawn." He looked absolutely terrible - very frail, arms like toothpicks, and walking with a cane. I'm surprised he's still around.
A lot of these wrestlers die young - I had to check to see if my childhood hero is still around and he is: Don Leo Jonathan (the Mormon Giant) is 83 and doing fine. We used to go to the big matches in Seattle in the 60’s and I got to shake his hand once. He could do a kip up from the mat to his feet which for a 6’-6” 300lb man is pretty athletic.
