We should identify the rino's that are supporting the current leadership in congress and go after them at the local level.
We would need the record of the Caucus votes for the leadership. That should identity most of them.
As for the rest, just watch the news and cspan they will reveal themselves through their speeches.
At present, it's virtually impossible to compile such a list. Boehner was re-elected Speaker pretty much unanimously by the caucus -- so there is no record of who, exactly, is anti-Boehner.
Moreover, nobody has ever announced an intention to run against him. And the caucus knows that, if they vote against him...and lose, they would be sacrificing their committee chairmanships -- even their committee assignments.
Accordingly, there won't be a meaningful show of hands until somebody announces he's running against Boehner AND he's got a real chance of winning.
Good idea bump.
Name and shame....on EVERY forum you visit, call to DC you make, etc.
Follow the money and boycott his sponsors.
Now that is a very good idea. I like it.
Damn right. We need to start an all-out war with Boehner and his supporters. This is getting criminal.
Could it not be more obvious that he’s an Obama enabler? A liberal in sheep’s clothing?
Once identified, they have to hounded until even their own
friends disown them. It is not enough to public “out” them
for supporting liberalism; they must be crushed in every
way possible.
Go after sponsors, the friends real and false are near Boehner for power and influence. The friends are probably liberal Republicans as well and they won’t get offended by anything.
Boehner is a duplicitous weasel. He has honed the act of sounding and looking outraged by Democrats but in reality he’s assisting and enabling them. Its really quite a theatric performance that manages to fool most of the gullible GOP base (but few if any FReepers).
Well in that case, destroy the friends too.
We have reached the stage in this conflict where
we should give no quarter and ask for none.
The friends are probably liberal Republicans...

The reality is that there aren’t many true conservatives in the GOP. If there were, they would have made greater efforts in the past to reduce the size of government. But the gubmint just keeps growing and spending keeps rising regardless of whose in charge.
They all are.
Except for Gohmert apparently.
If Boner in fact tricked them via dishonesty and deception into voting for something that they do not believe in and betrays their consituents, where are the republicans saying we were deceived?
Where are the republicans saying John Boner lied to us therefore we will be replacing him as Speaker?
That’s right, they are no where, except for Gohmert.
They weren’t tricked. We are being tricked.
This is so. The old adage "if you strike the king, you must kill the king" applies. Unless you're sure of success it is better to not try. Thus, it is up to us to establish the political pressure that makes a successful challenge possible. Reps need to be more fearful of the electorate than of Boehner.
All but a dozen did the last time and all but 25 or 30 are likely to do so in this leadership vote and I’m convinced some of them will do it to look good since all Boehner will need are 218 votes to get over the top.
Politicians will vote NO on something they really want as long as the YES side wins because it makes them look conservative with the folks back home.
Over 200 Republicans in the House will end up supporting Boehner this time which means there will be 200 plus Republicans to oppose in the 2016 primaries and general election.
I don’t vote for the 95 percent of Republicans who fake conservatism in general elections anymore.
Write-in a name or run a conservative independent....
My Republican Congressman Scott Perry of Pennsylvania is a Boehner supporter, voting for him two years ago and having him in the district for a fundraiser....
Clearly the process is set up to shield the reps from individual responsibility--just like when they vote themselves a pay raise.
That is why I think it's important we isolate individual members and express our outrage to them personally and promise to work against them locally that we may be able to damage their phalanx.
Once there's blood in the water, hopefully, someone will step forward.
Good idea, but it won’t do any good until we first properly deal with RINO voters. As long as there are voters willing to hold their nose and vote for the Republican simply because they have an “R” next to their name will keep these guys in power.
I’m in.
