The death toll, according to the World Health Organization, has reached 6,202 people
MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. The number of Ebola cases in West Africa has exceeded 17,500, the Russian consumer watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said on Monday.
"According to the World Health Organization, 17,551 people have been infected with Ebola in West Africa, while the death toll has reached 6,202," the watchdog said.
Among those infected are 622 health workers, Rospotrebnadzor said adding that 346 of them had died.

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your......
(Since all records of obama's past were lost in a tragic boating accident and fire, no one can be certain that the guy in the red circle isn't him...)
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
You do not have an 84% death rate with 6,000 dead and 17,000 having been infected unless you have a huge jump in the infected this week which is not the case.
News reporting since a week before the elections has been clamped down on in a huge way. If governments are controlling the news then what is the real death number now because this 6,000 number is laughable to anybody with even the slightest bit of logical thinking?
Then lets take this to the next logical step. If the death rate is hugely bogus why would we believe the infected rate?
This and then we find out that the newly appointed “Ebola Czar” has resigned..without so much as doing anything.
“You do not have an 84% death rate with 6,000 dead and 17,000 having been infected unless you have a huge jump in the infected this week which is not the case.

Oh yeah. I projected 24,000 open cases for Dec 1. There was 16K reported. Unless they are quietly field testing new drugs, they are effective, and they are not talking about it, then the numbers are likely off.
There are also people dropping dead in the US with symptoms of Ebola, only to have someone say they didn’t die of Ebola. What they DID die of was never mentioned, but it wasn’t ebola.
Ever since Ron Klain stepped into the job, the lock down and obfuscation of the news in the US is evident. I would imagine that’s what he was hired to do.
Now he’s stepped down. We’ll see what happens.
Another thing - not a PEEP about, or from, the army unit down there in West Africa to deal with this thing. Nothing.
It’s weird.
The truth will eventually come out, and at the same time expose those complicit to the false narratives shoved down our throats.
The political pendulum continues to swing. As it changes direction, there will be no question about the outrageous lack of integrity of these complicit 'journalists' as well as those elected/appointed and duly sworn to uphold national interests as outlined in our nation's Constitution.
the czar got all the media to stop reporting on Ebola, which was exactly his job. Big success, that guy.

Those same funerals have been a common means of spreading the virus.
If the count was accurate, the death rate would be in the 30% range, indicating new and effective treatments.
If those treatments were that effective in country, why fly people out for treatment?
Early on, 70% was closer to the mark, and I have my doubts the situation has been that much improved, despite the efforts of a host of agencies from all over the world.
That confirms my thinking as well.
Thanks. Good to know that if I’m nuts, perhaps you are too.
Actually, anyone who stops to do the math will figure it out.
There are a few reasons for 'adjusting' or even just not counting the dead, some are economic, but there is also the thought that if the number of deceased victims were to push the 70% mark, that would be over 12500 dead. Assume the case count is likely inaccurate, too, simply because of the difficulty of dealing with stats under the circumstances.
Numbers that high have a way of capturing people's attention, and the people making policy act as if they want the disease here, in the wild. Why, someone might stridently object to all the openness going on.
I actually worked backward from a mortality rate of 50 percent, and I arrived at an open case probable number of . . . 24,000. That’s the number I thought we’d hit on Dec 1. Jan 1’s number is 48K.
50% is a conservative mortality rate, but I’ve been adhering to the most conservative case since July.
I think we are still on track. Can’t know for sure any more, because I don’t really think even basic open/dead data sampling is going on right now.
MSF has retreated (amazing). Literally ZERO news is coming from the US Army down there. Rom Klain must be in league with Satan. Who has the power to shut the worldwide press down like this guy did in two short months?
Well, look who his immediate Boss is....
The same person seems to be controlling the news narrative quite well, and for years, now, with little exception--at least well enough to fool the LIVs and average schmucks.
Thanks for the ping!
