"Human fetus cells injected into baby mice to create supermouse"
Dr. Josef Mengele would be jealous of the educational and career opportunities offered by the University of Rochester Medical.

Wow, no kidding. Such hubris. Such arrogance of man.

Do those pests still come over on ships like the plague days?
You just know some fraternity punk who never grew up is going
to release a few. It's inevitable considering the human ego and the
want for legacy.

“by injecting glial cells from donated human fetusesleft over from IVF “
“left over”?
Were the humans (not fetuses) asked if they
wanted to have their cells donated?
Were they thrown away because their only purpose was to provide cells for research?
Didn’t we try people at Nuremberg for that kind of thing?
So are we creating super mice but killing fetuses?
(Time for God to send the next Flood...)
To: Olog-hai
Wow. Just wow. So human beings (cuz that’s what those little IVF embryos are) were just destroyed? So cavalier. So arrogant. So evil.

just because they can do it doesn't mean they shouldOne of Crichtons (sp?) later (and best) novels, SPECIES, is an excellent cautionary look at the ramifications of splicing human with non-human genes. Once that starts, how does one define "human"?
Will someone with 10% gorilla or cheetah genes, for instance, be considered human and be able to compete in the Olympics? In his novel would someone half-human, have gorilla be a human or a pet?
Since it's possible, it will happen. The results could be real creepy for the future of the human race.
