CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. —
Clayton County police say they rescued a 13-year-old boy who has been reported missing for four years Saturday morning.
Channel 2’s Mark Winne broke this story on Channel 2 Action News Saturday AM.
Clayton County police Sgt. Kevin Hughes said officers first went to the home near Jonesboro about 11 p.m. Friday to conduct a welfare check on a child.
“Upon initial arrival, responding officers made contact with several occupants at the location who denied having knowledge of any information concerning the victim,” Hughes said. “After a brief search of the premises, the officers left without locating the victim.”

reading the headline, Clayton County must be a dismal place for people to be needing rescued from it. Purgatory County I guess.
Once upon a time, a close friend served 45 days in the Clayton county jail before he had a bail hearing!
He was a white guy accused of felonious assault on a black female.
Yeah, well whatever......
He is out, with no felonies......after the alleged victim went to threatening the judge in open court!

Authorities said the boy was visiting his father from Florida in 2010 and refused to return him to his mother. .
That title makes no sense. The Brits have a funny way of writing.
Sgt Joanne Southerland told the WSBTV channel that the boy was initially "frozen with fear" but "overjoyed" to be rescued."
