Dorian Johnson initially said that his friend had put his hands in the air and said to Darren Wilson: 'I don't have a gun, stop shooting.'
Claim sparked protests in Ferguson and catapulted shooting to national attention
But Darren Wilson's version of events was entirely different - and appeared to be believed by grand jury
Close friends of Darren Wilson now want star witness to be charged over 'lying' about officer's actions
Johnson broke silence last night and said he had feared Wilson would kill him too
Close friends of Darren Wilson have called for the star witness in the Michael Brown shooting to be charged for lying about what he saw.
Two of the Ferguson police officers best friends told MailOnline that Dorian Johnson - who was next to Brown at the time - should be arrested for his statements in numerous TV interviews he made days afterwards.
They say that he made up the claim that Brown had his hands up which kickstarted the Hands up, dont shoot protest movement.
For his part Johnson told the grand jury that the whole process has left him feeling victimized.
He also revealed that the altercation began because he didnt like how Wilson spoke to him like a father telling off his son.

NO. His mother said he was afraid he would hurt someone.
I doubt that really had anything to do with it.

Here’s the thing. The assault on a police officer started with Mike Brown slamming the door shut on Officer Wilson as he tried to exit the police vehicle.
From that point on, the officer was completely within the law to pull his gun and fire in self defense if the assault did not stop.
It didn’t. He fired. The minute details of the blows and wrestling matter not a whit.
Exactly right, but Ol’ Dan is panty-hung because Wilson is not a 5 year lod, and Brown is not Hulk Hogan.
OW was seated, trapped in his cruiser by Brown, who was standing and raining down blows. You knew that, right?
Or, the girl that accused the Duke ball players of rape was never charged either.
They spent hundreds of thousand of dollars defending themselves and were demonized daily on TV.
No justice no peace....right!
That is true, that’s why Wilson backed up.
