The guy may have not had a weapon...he was a weapon.
At 6'5" and 300 plus, he was very able to crush, beat to death, the much smaller cop....and showed he was willing to do so.
30 years ago, I killed a guy who was beating my grandmother -- who resisted him stealing her purse in front of our house -- by hitting him twice.
I was 6'2' 280.
I've never lost a minute of sleep.

DW is 6'4", 210 pounds.
There's no doubt MB was bigger, but then DW isn't exactly a little guy.
