MB was 6'5", 289 pounds.
DW is 6'4", 210 pounds.
There's no doubt MB was bigger, but then DW isn't exactly a little guy.
That isn't what happened in this case.
Brown had been at this distance, but had run away.
The evidence tends to indicate he was moving back towards Wilson when shot, but was at some considerable distance still.
I'm not clear on the distance between the two men at the moment of shooting, as I've seen several distances stated, everywhere from 35' to 148'.
Neither is exactly arm's length. And 148' would be darn good shooting under the circumstances.
I guess you missed the part about how Brown had turned around and was charging head down “like a football thing” at Wilson and that’s when Wilson fired. It’s in the testimony of the Grand Jury.
Well aware of that. Only pointing out that when Brown was killed it was not a “grapple for the gun” situation. Had Wilson not fired, it might have become that very shortly, but it wasn’t that when he fired, and I think it’s misleading to say or imply that it was.
I also have still not been able to find a definitive answer as to the distance between the two men when the fatal shots were fired.
That Brown was “charging head down “like a football thing” (whatever a football thing might be) is not a fact. It is one of the stories told by witnesses before the grand jury. There are other stories that contradict this claim to varying degrees.
I object to eyewitness testimony being presented as the fact of what happened. It is, presuming the witness is being truthful, not something that can be taken for granted, a person’s recollection of what happened. When actual objective evidence, such as video, is compared with eyewitness testimony, it is amazing how little correspondence there often is.
A person’s recollection is simply that, it is not The Truth of what happened.

Do you have a good take on how far apart they were when Wilson started shooting and to where Brown finally went down?
Seems to me those two numbers are pretty important.
I have not read the Transcript but have heard and seen various distances but no confirmed measurements.
