In today's feature, he-man conservative Republican superstar Clark Gable plays a tough editor for a big city newspaper who impersonates a student in order to woo a very smart and very beautiful lady journalism instructor played by the lovely Doris Day. If the plot sounds familiar to Miss Day's fans it should. It was later recycled in her films "Pillow Talk" and "Lover Come Back" only "Teacher's Pet" did it first and did it better IMHO. A very intelligent sophisticated adult comedy that's perfectly OK for children to watch as well.

I’m pretty sure that’s Doris Day on the left and Clark Gable on the right, so they got the names mixed up.

This is the move where she is giving a lecture and portrays the negative stereotype of a journalist as she describes Gable (who is right there in the room)”Wrinkled suit...etc”

I love this movie. Saw it a few months ago either on Netflix, or Amazon Prime.

I understand they filmed it in Black and white on purpose to make Clark Gable look younger.
