Remember "Band Aid" back in 1985, the project that raised funds to help Africans during the huge drought they were having? Well, they've done it again, and this time, it's about Ebola.
Midge Uri and Sir Bob Geldof teamed up again to re-do the song "Do They Know It's Christmas" with updated lyrics that change the focus from drought to the Ebola virus. Several British artists showed up for the song's taping, including the band One Direction, Seal, Sinead O'Connor, and Bono of U2.
I watched the video and the song is pretty well-done with the new lyrics and all. One bit of warning: the first 20-30 seconds of the video show the removal of a dead Ebola victim from her home by germ-suited workers. It's a grim scene.
Oh...as of this morning's release of the video, in the first 5 minutes, it has raised over 1.5 million British pounds for Ebola research.
Here's the VIDEO.
South Park’s “Christmastime in Hell” has that one beat.
Don’t know. Never paid much attention to the lyrics.
I was not aware of that.
There is a music video of him, wherein half the time he has a guitar and the other half he is dancing, and hoo boy that dancing half screams "FAAAABULOUSSSSS!".
I should not talk, I am not a good dancer either, but boy did he come off as a swishy, turd burgling butt pirate.
