[Soaring Feather]

My Dragonfly And Me


If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!


By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone


On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...


And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...


Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good grief, I have been looking for Bentfeather. I inadvertently had you killed off. Sorry about that. I feel bad. It is like getting the newspaper and reading your own obit. I guess Sam Clemmins said it best. Anyway, I will try to post a few poems. By the way, I am not yet dead, either. So.....we are in good shape.

No offense taken please don’t feel bad. I am sure more than one person has thought that in fact one person at FR asked me why I came back. LOL

Well, I am free to be on line. WOW, what a morning- chasing dogs all morning. We have 3 dogs, the wind blew the door open the dogs went out, not good, it is deer hunting season here.

I finally got them rounded up and inside, I am exhausted.

Yup, we have a heat wave today, also. Thank goodness the house is warm, daughter got the coal stove ripping. We have a hot water furnace but this house is old and drafty so the coal stove helps so much.

high 60’s during the day and 50’s at night. Glad to hear that you are not buried in the snow. Can you imaging the possibility of up to 100 inches of that stuff and to hear Al Gore talk we are all going to burn up with global warming.

Wow, you’re in a heat wave! It is so bitter cold here, and snow is falling. A fresh white coat this morning.
I checked the temp it’s 20 F.
