Today's feature is legendary director Howard Hawks' most underrated film. His only foray into the genre of 1950s CinemaScope ancient world historical epic, this film tells the tale of Egyptian pharaoh Khufu(Jack Hawkins) and the building of the great pyramid. Joan Collins plays his treacherous 2nd wife Nellifer. It and "5 Fingers" feature my favorite endings to a 1950s film.
It's in two links:

I was one in ‘55. We didn’t get a TV until ‘61 or so.
This and many more movies like this were my window to the world before this farm kid left for the city.

After watching Joan Collins in several seasons of “Dynasty”, it was kinda strange to see her as a dark-skinned desert beauty (when she was 20, BTW).
Won’t spoil the ending. It’ll give you the shivers, I promise.

I haven’t watched this since I was a kid, and it was in B & W on TV with commercials, so this will be a treat.

One of my favorite movies!
There are so many great almost forgotten movies out there! Who needs this modern Hollywood nonsense!

Indeed. Her character in this film is like an ancient world version of her Alexis Colby character only this film is far better than that TV series.

I just now was reminded of an interesting ending to such a movie. Might be the same one.
