Two years ago, Trout was in serious contention for the AL MVP. Problem was, Miguel Cabrera that season won the baseball Triple Crown title and many people argued for Trout based on the complicated wins above replacement statistic, which many MVP voters did not understand.

Congratulations Mr. Trout. You deserve it.
From what I’ve seen, MT doesn’t let his outstanding talents get the best of his ego (unlike someone like AROD). That makes him a good role model for the kids.
If the Yankees end up getting him in a few years I bet he’ll become another Derek Jeter.

My team did not have anybody in the MVP category but they were 90 feet away from possibly winning the World Series. Kansas City fan since we joined the ML in 1955.
