Please pray for Mrs. FD 2003 -- unexpected surgery tonight

My wife had a terrible gastric attack today. She went to the ER and the attending physician said that her small intestine wall should be 1/8" is more than an inch thick!

I know I am not the most popular guy on this board and I have made many very unhappy.

But for this moment, can you please put aside that and pray for my wife? I 100% assure you that everyone who ever met her made it clear I married up and even my family loves her more than I. With good reason/

She is the sort of person that embraces every new person as a new friend and it takes all of 1/10th of a second to be lifelong friends.

A small prayer would be greatly appreciated.

What she said. ;-)

Prayers will continue.

God bless, and I wish you both the happiest of holiday seasons!

Hi, all

Thanks again for the prayers — Mrs. FD really appreciates all the love and support!

Things are looking pretty good but we still haven’t heard from pathology.

She has been recovering at a fantastic rate — she is super healthy (much more than I). She eats smart, exercises over an hour every day and does Zumba, Yoga and all that several times a week.

All that has contributed to a quick recovery. She is on solid food today and all associated functions are, well, functioning (really important). The doc says she can go home TODAY if she keeps the food down and that is looking good.

The only thing left is the pathology report, getting her home and then figuring out how we can take walks (very important for recovery) in this cold blast.

God also sent us her friends who brought her here when I was out of town and have all stopped by to cheer her up.

God bless you all and those that can ping all the wonderful people who have been praying for her to let them know their prayers have clearly and demonstrably helped.

I can only say, humbly, thank you!

Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow! Thank God for such a wonderful report!

I know you haven’t heard from pathology, yet, but she sounds fit and upbeat. That is very important!

You, both, will continue to be in my prayers.

less you Lady Jane!

Went to the oncologist today — kind of a mixed bag.

She is having some tests done, including a bone marrow biopsy.

IF she is clear of any cancer we are done — no need for follow-up chemo or radiation. If not, then we could be looking at some more aggressive treatments.

I think she is cancer-free but we will know more in the following weeks. In the meantime she is home and I am doing pretty much everything as she gets stronger.

Thanks again to everyone — your prayers really helped and worked! And a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving to you all!

Thank you

Yes, she is back at home and improving quickly. Next week she gets a marrow biopsy. If she is clean, then that is it — no chemo or radiation needed.

Please keep praying for tha toutcome.

God bless and to you and everyone have a great Thanksgiving today!

HOW MUCH IS FREEREPUBLIC WORTH TO YOU?

If you read FR a lot like me, would it shock you to wake tomorrow and not be able to read it?

I’m talking to the members, but I am also talking to those who have not signed in.

I can access FR from work, but I cannot log in.

I can see the breaking news, see the responses and corrections.

I can see silly posts and zots.

I can see my FRiends talking with each other.

When I get home, I can respond and post and interact.

If you are not a FReeper, you can still donate. Just push the button.

$5.00 is perfectly acceptable.

>>When is biopsy day?<<

Next Friday (12/5).

Mrs FD has decided she will not submit to Chemo nor Radiation. She is dang tired but I won’t let her just walk away.

Can I please get prayers to help her see what she might need??

OTOH — and for this I ask our merciful God — the biopsy is negative.

If there has ever been a human being who has never had a bad thought for anyone else, that is Mrs FD. She is kind beyond kind. I can 100% assure all that she gives love and asks nothing in return.

I don’t deserve her but God blessed me with her anyway. Mrs. FD doesn’t know it, but I thank God every night for her.

This time, and just this tine, please God, let this thing be done,

I don’t deserve it, but she does.

Many prayers have come your way. It is not your will that be done. It is your wish to Jesus that it is not now.

I pray for that to be so.

You are of course correct. Me entreaty certainly looks a bit like hubris. It is more a soulful prayer.

His will will always be done and no matter what happens it is all part of a larger plan. But Mrs. FD is frustrated and stuck in “why me” mode. Which is more than a little human...

We won’t know the biopsy results until next week.

Please keep praying they are negative for cancer.

Thanks again to you and everyone!

I missed this earlier — better late then never prayers offered sincerely. Normal is only 1/8”? - that’s scary.

GREAT news!!!

The oncologist said he could find NO signs of cancer, including the DNA testing on the marrow. No chemo nor radiation will be needed!

Of course, the doctor was clear he wants to monitor her pretty closely for the next few years – at least every 3 months but that is no big deal at all, considering the alternative.

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes! It was a BIG positive factor in her recovery (she will, of course, be continuing but it is coming along well).

God bless you all!

I still don’t know how to ping everyone who posted, but AM can you please update the title with (update: success and cancer-free!) or something similar?

Thanks!
