The parents of Michael Brown, the Ferguson Missouri man who was shot by Officer Darren Wilson following an altercation, spoke before a UN Committee yesterday, pleading for the world to note what was happening in Ferguson and around the country. Lesley McSpadden and Michael Brown Sr. spoke to the United Nations Committee Against Torture -- which also works against cruel or degrading treatment or punishment by government authorities. CNN: "We need the world to know what's going on in Ferguson and we need justice," McSpadden told CNN in Geneva, Switzerland. "We need answers and we need action. And we have to bring it to the U.N. so they can expose it to the rest of the world, what's going on in small town Ferguson."

While their testimony to the committee took place behind closed doors, the delegation that organized their trip said the couple would read from a statement submitted by the Brown family and organizations called HandsUpUnited, the Organization for Black Struggle, and Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment.
The document says Brown's killing and force used by police officers during protests that followed the killing "represent violations of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment."
It requests that the U.N. panel recommend the immediate arrest of Officer Darren Wilson, who killed Brown, as well as an end to "racial profiling and racially-biased police harassment across the jurisdictions surrounding Ferguson."

Can I ask a stupid question?
If young black men are being shot in big numbers, for no reason by white cops, and white Hispanic neighborhood watch people, why do we only hear about Brown and Trayvon?
Sharpton and others have talked of an epidemic of these shootings, leading one to believe that white cops use black men for target practice.
Yet the only examples of the alleged epidemic of these cases are shootings which at best, could be called shootings under very questionable circumstances.
And this ignores the thousands of young black.men shot by other blacks every year in this country.
Yet the liberals decide to blow two very questionable cases all out of proportion to show that young black men are at great risk from police or other authority. It just makes no sense.
They already have the script written. Just waiting for names to fill in the blanks.
Doncha just love the Post Racial country Obama has given us?

Did the esteemed Mother of the Gentle Giant tell the UN how she and a family memeber used a pipe and beat up Mike Brown’s grandma and another family member for selling Tee shirts at the curb in Ferguson?

“St. Louis University Assistant Professor Justin Hansford co-authored the report that the delegation submitted to the United Nations.”
Asst. Prof Hansford worked for Obama. Are you surprised?
