I recall liking that movie as a kid but I want to throw rocks the screen when the ads for the sequel come on. Carrey and Daniels look deader than Robin Williams.
Churchill was a great leader, he and Thatcher stand alone as the great UK PM’s of the 20th century. It says a lot about how friggin stupid the Brits were that after the war they voted him out in a LANDSLIDE in favor of the socialist Clement Attlee, who promised to gibdemstuff.
Of course Churchill made a misstate by giving Attlee too much power in the wartime coalition government, elevating him in the mind of the public. Attlee was almost as dangerous to Britain as Hitler. His ilk’s method of killing a nation is just slower, that’s all.

I saw D&D2 last week (free screening); it was ok. I wouldn’t pay to see it tho.
There’s a nice convo about Sir Winston going on at the “other” (non-cat/Lawrence Welk) place. It’s good.
You makes some nice points Impy.

Labour Party was effectively run by the Soviets for a very long time, an arrangement beginning well before WWII . Many Labour MPs were proven to be paid agents, handled largely through the DDR. This arrangement existed well into the 1960s.
It is one of the reasons why there is a "new" Labour Party.
