No amount of money can get Robert Plant to reunite with his Led Zeppelin bandmates.
The 66-year-old singer walked away from a 35-date tour that would have paid the rock group nearly $800 million ripping up the contract in front of stunned promoters, the Mirror newspaper reported Sunday.

The Beatles did it right, they ended it at the right time, and now they are as popular as ever.
How long has it been since the Rolling Stones were relevant, despite all of their tours?

Ha ha.
Jimmy Page probably needs the money.
These LZ English did more to make our nation a cesspool than any Commie or Obama could dream of.

Some of the live recordings of Plant circa 68/69 are amazing. He had a sound like no one else. And I'm sure that's how Plant wants people to remember him, instead of a 60+ year old man singing "Squeeze my lemon until the juice runs down my leg."

The Who havent been the same and Scott improved AC/DC. I just don’t want Plant to go out there and disappoint his fans and himself. Especially for what the tickets would be.
They are old men now. Not 60s rock gods.

Yeah. Like a hysterical shrew or a castrato.

Didn’t LZ just get sued by a band named Spirit?

I always thought in his early years that he was a Janis Joplin impersonator.

“Or he’s holding out for more, or, a publicity stunt. Or both.”
That is a possibility. But the promoters can only offer what they believe the shows will make. Personally, I don’t give my money to aging has-beens.

If Plant won't say why he won't do, then I don't care to consider the reunion as a possibility. Whatever Bobby.
Now if he had lit the contract on fire, that would be noteworthy.

Plant now is making good music, but it’s more suited to how his voice is today than to during the LZ days.

Yeah.
I never had any idea he was trying to be like Delta Blues singers.

The Who havent been the same and Scott improved AC/DCDon't you mean Brian Johnson improved AC/DC, or do you mean Bon Scott was an improvement over Dave Evans?

So why is Plant touring the world singing Lawrence Welk tunes if he wants to be remembered as that 60’s icon, I wonder?
