I’d be interested if Jackson REMOVED an hour of footage from the movie instead of ADDING more. Then it would be much more faithful to the novel. He is padding the trilogy way too much and a two hour Desolation of Smaug would be a far more enjoyable movie. The theatrical version dragged.

Lol. Exactly. To quote my wife — more “padding” for the chair and less for the movie. Although she said the same about the LOR.

Then again, I loved all five soon to be six moves. We plan a movie marathon over Christmas — lets see approx. 3 hours per movie x 5 = 15 hours.
