I would say there are some demonstrators out there who have a little more knowledge then the other ones. Probably professional anarchist.

I'm just glad they tipped their hand before anything really big happens.

The comment in this story...”vandalism occurs from time to time”? Is this a common thing? I just can’t think of anyone messing around with electrical lines or poles.

I wonder if by knocking out the power this disables lights and security cameras/detectors at the larger stores.

From my experience, when a large store loses power there are flood lights throughout the store that are on battery backup and will turn on. CCTV systems on the other hand shut down.

Most big stores have a generator for stuff like that. I’d agree....the common 7-11 doesn’t. But I just don’t see vandalism done for this sort of thing. Or am I just missing it?

When Ike hit the Gulf and we had no power for an extended period of time people discovered that there are a whole lot of things that don’t work. ATM’s, credit card machines, gas pumps, uncharged cell phones, security alarms, etc. Doubt if most of the shops in Ferguson and the people who live there are capable of or prepared to handle an extended period of power outage.

How about that. Someone’s choreographing the whole thing.
