C’mon, Mia!! Why is it so difficult for Mia to win in deep red Utah, of all places??
Having read her bonafides, I really hope she prevails.
I don’t get it either.
Vote fraud?
shes black and a female...
Her district seems to be the most urban and democrat leaning. Every other republican is winning by about 30%, but they include the rural areas.
Obama won Salt Lake County in 2008. A large part of that county is in Utah District 4. It’s not a slam dunk but she should win this time.
Some Mormons clinging to old doctrines?

Maybe UT is like it is looking like MD when it comes to ANYONE but a White Male running for High Office.
As Liberal as MD is the last 2 R’s to have a run against a female Kennedy and a Black ‘break the streak’.
Even if Brown pulls it out, the ‘White’ guy ‘murdered’ him in Baltimore and it looks like PG and Montgomery have to be counted with Hogan an 8 point lead....BUT we know all about the ‘suddenly found’ bags of votes...
Like I saw the other day some dude said—
“My grandfather was a staunch Chicago R and voted in every election from Roosevelt and always voted R.
He died and has voted D ever since.”
She raises taxes?
Her district includes a bunch of libs. A GOP candidate would lose in TN, the most Republican of all states in the country, if his district consisted mostly of Memphis. In addition, her opponent is Doug Owens, progeny of a 2-decade Congressman. Having a familiar (and well-loved) political name matters. If Hillary’s last name weren’t Clinton, would she have won her Senate seat?
