The story of Samson concluded as a redemptive vehicle of judgment led by faith not a selfish-suicide (Unless those being currently "assisted" in wheelchairs or stretchers are reigning destruction upon idolaters at the same time under God's blessing).
You would have a point if Samson went in the middle of a barren desert and asked God to provide a tall tree along with the rope so the horndog could hang himself. God is God and His love letter to the Philistines through Samson was that Dagon is a cuckold who should not be worshiped.

God also gives states authority to punish criminals by putting them to death...and that is not murder I quite agree; in fact Capital punishment is a part of the Noahic Covenant.

Suicide is a personal issue between an individual and their creator and I don’t buy into this whole “assisted suicide” baloney. Anybody can kill themselves any time they want, this woman did not have to go to a doctor to get a “prescription for suicide”. If she did any kind of research she would have found out that a small tank of nitrogen and a simple face mask would have done the deed quite well. What we got here instead is a highly suspicious act by the media and this woman of promoting not “assisted suicide” but “sanctioned suicide” and look who they are asking to sanction it: The government. Do you want the government making choices over who lives and dies? I sure as hell don’t which is why it should be highly illegal, let’s not even think of going there especially with this administration in power.

Not a conservative, but he seems much more thoughtful and open minded than your typical liberal.
Give him a chance. I think there’s hope for the boy.

The story of Samson concluded as a redemptive vehicle of judgment led by faith not a selfish-suicide I always thought of Samson's story as more tragic.
In so far as I know, the only redemptive quality in it is shown in God's willingness to work with people who continually and constantly fall.
(Unless those being currently "assisted" in wheelchairs or stretchers are reigning destruction upon idolaters at the same time under God's blessing).
I said nothing about this sort of thing; I merely point out that Samson's death which was clearly a suicide was assisted by God himself and that Samson was commended for his faith.
You would have a point if Samson went in the middle of a barren desert and asked God to provide a tall tree along with the rope so the horndog could hang himself.
I have a point as is: let me die with them
as a request clearly marks his death as a suicide.
God is God and His love letter to the Philistines through Samson was that Dagon is a cuckold who should not be worshiped.
Oh, I quite agree that God is God and was showing the Philistines and Isralites both who was who — but that doesn't negate the facts in the case.

It's not difficult to commit suicide. No assistance needed. It's a slippery slope, involves doctors unnecessarily in what is a colossal conflict of interest.

[ In the old days, if you were dying, the family doctor would hand you a bottle of thirty pills and “warn” you that taking more than ten would kill you. That’s the nice way to handle it. Not giving some government functionary a bag of syringes. ]
Yup that is the way to handle it, keep the government out of it, the moment you give government sanction to do it, you sanction the government control over your OWN life...

You are weak. I can influence you easily. You flatter yourself to think you have your own opinions but I can see you're merely parroting the last compelling argument you heard. You're in good health but you like to believe that you're ill. I don't care why you do that, but you do. It's simple to prey on your fears and convince you that natural aches and transitory pains are indicative of deep, dark, and tumorous horrors. I can couch the whispers in cogent medical terminology as you confirm my diagnosis on the interwebz. You will flower under my attentions. You will see that only I truly understand your situation and the horrendous fate to which you are condemned. Fortunately, I have a solution to your problems and the means to spare your friends and family unspeakable anguish. It will all be for you. The sacrifices I make are done willingly in the singular hope of easing your pain. When I finally lay your head gently on a satin pillow, I will take a moment to savor your death rattle. Then I will begin to formulate your final words for your mother. It will be my sad duty to relate how you elected to leave this world because of your deep disappointment in her maternal capabilities. Perhaps she'll be as weak as you were...
I am in receipt of case file 63317. According to assembled reports, Citizen Worden, S. is currently hospitalized with a recurrent bone infection. Prognosis indicates that subject will be debilitated for an extended period and partial recovery is all that is expected. Included in the file are several flagged public communications hostile to well established policy positions considered essential for current operations. Recommend hospital personnel advise that reinfection is not only likely but unavoidable. Direct efforts to enlisting subject in self-termination protocol. Instruct Hospitalist to file weekly progress briefs with this office. This office is to be notified by soonest means if subject is to be discharged for any reason. I am in receipt of case file 10083...
