Furious over the alleged rape of his 14-year-old daughter by a 45-year-old married man, the father called the man to his house on Friday night, treated him to dinner and then tortured him to death, police said. He then went to the police station, surrendered himself and gave police a detailed account on how he tortured and murdered the man.
The 36-year-old reportedly burned the man’s genitals using heated tongs and then strangled him to death. The incident was reported from Northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area on Saturday.
Based on the man’s statement, police said the deceased, a medicine supplier, had allegedly raped the man’s minor daughter two months ago. The father did not approach police fearing “a bad name for his daughter”(continued)

Wow! Too bad he died, dad would have been in a lot less hot water.
Let this be a lesson for the other rapists out there. When the victim’s father invites you to dinner, you would be wise not to accept the invitation.

My father wouldn't have tortured but probably would have killed the rapist...quickly, with his bare hands.
I read the article and as far as I can tell, no laws were broken...
On the other hand, when an Indian is offered free dinner, they can’t afford to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I guess this is not a muslim family where they would have just stoned the daughter to death...
I think the father deserves a trophy, medal, or an award of some kind. It’s a shame the rapist died. He could have lived the rest of his days sexually disfigured, dysfunctional, and traumatized!
This Father’s Righteous Rage is breathtaking. Sad that he had to give up his life as a free man in order to avenge his daughter’s rape. Good for the daughter that her father had the clarity of mind not to blame her for being raped in the first place. What I don’t get is, didn’t the neighbors hear the screams, the yowls of torture? Or they may be in an isolated area. Imagine the arrogance of this rapist, accepting a dinner invitation to take tea at the same home where you violated a young girl. He fell for it completely.
The girl and the remaining family will probably have to move away from that area.
