France is treating a UN employee who contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone, the health ministry said on Sunday.
This person, who worked in Sierra Leone in the fight against Ebola, has undergone a secure medical evacuation by specialised aircraft, the ministry said in a statement.
The victim has been placed in isolation under high security in an army training hospital in Saint-Mande near Paris.

This explains why N163PA, the Ebola plane, has been on the move to Africa for the last two days.
What’s the “Ebola plane” that you mentioned?
I just got back from France yesterday, and while they had way too many Muslims skulking about in veils, they didn’t seem to have a lot of recently arrived Africans. That is, the Africans who were there had obviously been there for some time and were completely adapted. So I don’t think they’ll have a problem except for the occasional arrogant non-African aid worker,
The “Ebola Plane”, N163PA, is a Gulfstream 3 the CDC has been using to transport Ebola Patients. So far, it has moved everyone that has gotten EBOLA in the US, and those brought to the US.
There is another, N173PA, last known to be positioned in Hawaii. (pre-positioned for use in Asia?).
They are owned by Phoenix Air, a charter outfit based in Atlanta, on contract to the CDC.

Thank you!
interesting discussion
thanks. Why stop in Canada, then Atlanta?
Military facility or pax?
Imagine what will happen to obama rating when first US troop gets ebola - and how hard the admin will work to hide any reporting
Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your......
(Since all records of obama's past were lost in a tragic boating accident and fire, no one can be certain that the guy in the red circle isn't him...)
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Thanks for the ping!
