"Firsttime I have ever seen a lifetoff. Thanks!" Me too. The moderator did that, not me.

Now that's real rocket science.

You mean to tell me the engines on that rocket were over 40 years old? The shuttle would’ve been a better choice.

“The video says it all.”
The audio said “108%” for thrust.

Well, if it qualifies for US propellants, then you’d think the metallurgy passed qc...

Haven’t seen something like that since the late 50’s.
Looks like NASA’s Muslim outreach is having the effect Obama wanted.

This was a contracted launch. While this affects NASA, I doubt the failure had anything to do with NASA.Sure it did. The very fact it was a contracted launch shows it had something to do with NASA.
To: CivilWarBrewing
This is what comes of a Marxist Muslim moron POTUS who changes the mission of NASA from rocketeering to Muslim outreach.
Thanks, B.O. You remain a piece of work.

Just saw this banner on CNN, and I quote:
“Should NASA start building spacecraft’s again?”

The parts and modules were always made by contractors. NASA would stack them together.
What’s questionable about Orbital is that they are using refurbished, ancient Soviet rocket engines. They are over 40 years old.

Understood.
CNN’s grammatical incompetence is what I just couldn’t help but share.

Nothing to do with NASA? Just who contracted this launch?
My point is that under obama, NASA has lost the ability to launch manned space flight. And it looks like they have lost oversight of their contractors soing supply runs as well.
muslim outreach should have nothing to do with NASA. But obama has dictated that it be one of NASA’s missions. Can this failure be blamed on that distraction? Maybe ... maybe not.

I missed that. Funny, but sad. Maybe Orbital can hire the headline writer.

The Shuttle should have been retired long before Obama. It isn’t his fault this time. We’re going to end up with a far more capable, safer, and cost efficient launch capability for cargo and humans.
Rockets explode sometimes. It’s happened before Obama and it will happen after Obama.

What could go wrong? They had Ukrainian Engineers do the design mods.
