Oh I have both! Cats, not freeloaders? All they want are some drugs and then their munchies and they will constantly whine and bitch at you until you give them something for nothing. Now dogs on the other hand work for their keep. Here's a simple test, lock a dog and a cat in the trunk of your car for an hour, come back and see which one is happy to see you and which one is the democrat. ; ) You have not had inside/outside cats. My two regular bring ME food. . . rats, mice, snakes, sometimes still kicking or wriggling. . . as tribute to the leader of their pride. Find out how a cat reacts when you are ill. They are there beside you, worried.

Look, you are way too invested in this and contrary to what you think you know of me I have had and do have cats that are inside/outside all around the town and dogs of my own for over 40 years and I love my cats, had one that thought she was a dog and played fetch and followed me everywhere, but you just can't beat a dog for loyalty, unconditional love or the sure knowledge that if someone tries to hurt me my dog will give his life to protect me. My comments are in fun not about who's pet is best, loves them more or is more empathetic. If you aren't secure in your animals love whether it's a cat, dog, turtle, bird, lizard, whatever, it has nothing to do with me or some farcical post. Love yourr pet and be happy!
