Probably a DNS problem.
You can still get to FR because the IP address is in your DNS cache.

It only affects Swabbies with wet cables.

Been “odd” all day around here...down entirely for awhile, then just certain sites. It’s fine at the moment (knock on wood).

Turn your computer off and then back on again.
If you are using wireless and DSL, you may want to switch them off and on again. This will change your IP. I have that problem on occasion with my DSL service.

Shut everything down... Roger, modem, laptop, tab.
For the third time.
Some came back, some stuff still slow
No worries I suppose.
Just making sure it wasn’t the apocalypse.
Of course, had to come check FR to be certain.

Also if there are other networks in range someone could be using the same frequency. My computer and streaming vid were locking up a lot. I called Comcast and they switched frequency of my modem-router, problem solved.

It’s seemed that there are some extreme slowdowns on some routes here and there. Could be uplinks/downlinks. Might check to see if we got an unusually heavy CME (solar blast). The magnetic field is kinda thin lately (less protection).

If you’re in Cali, you’re very close to the FR servers.

Yep. We caught an X2, and the magnetic field is weak (difficulty even locating north for a while). Read the following behind the link.

Sunspot was visible in an apparently unmagnified photo (behind link).
While accessing some Euro servers for tech. info earlier, I noticed some really slow routes. Thought they were DNS problems at first, but there were a few bits off and on.
No ‘pocyclipse yet, though. We’re cool. ;-D
