NYT: White House Pressures States to Reverse Mandatory Ebola Quarantine Orders (Hickox to sue)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3219787/posts

NYT: The [B. Insane Ebola] administration has been pushing the governors of New York and New Jersey to reverse their decision ordering all medical workers returning from West Africa who had contact with Ebola patients to be quarantined, an administration official said. But on Sunday both governors, Andrew M. Cuomo of New York and Chris Christie of New Jersey, stood by their decision saying that the federal guidelines did not go far enough... [snip]

Top NIH official slams Ebola quarantines (will “disincentivize” healthcare volunteers)

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned that overly aggressive quarantines could make healthcare workers “very, very uncomfortable” and discourage them from volunteering... [snip]

My two cents:

We could give them medals, honor them with pardes, and things like that.

0 hasn’t done much of that yet to encourage brave healthcare workers has he? The only notable thing was the photo-op hug ‘for the cameras’.

Since there hasn’t already been wide publicity to boost morale of these heroes, they have no leg to stand on.

More importantly, Africa’s safe border policy is the top success story so far. Viruses have been a tough nut to crack. Can we afford to gamble on US health with a MUTATING virus? It’s not our fault that President Ebola was unprepared.
