The 1967 Cougar was a groundbreaking design. I can see why you miss it.
They are a little expensive to restore but not as bad as a European car of the same vintage.
I scan www.hemmings.com for old Cougars, Mustangs, and other 60’s Mercurys and specific Fords weekly.
Still underpriced for collector cars.
The only thing that was wrong with it was that all the hydraulics in the brakes had deteriorated from sitting up for decades.
The spouse really didn’t like it and it became a victim.
I hope to find another. My budget is at best Co-Part though. The ones that I see there are all in California. Doesn’t help me here in SC.
